Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) security cameras are the most capable of all CCTV cameras. With remote control you can rotate a PTZ camera to follow a moving surveillance target, zoom-in and auto focus to observe it in full detail. The PTZ security cameras are most commonly mounted on the corners for maximum field of view. Nowadays the PTZ control circuitry can be programmed to automatically track moving objects or to scan an area with a predetermined path of the camera’s movement. As a rule, you may need a specialized control panel consisting of a joystick and command buttons for your DVR to take a full control of a PTZ camera. You may also need a bracket on which PTZ camera hangs.
